ASKEW, Soho hole and Design Assembly

Last night was yet another successful design assembly put together by Louise Kellerman.

The speakers were so passionate about their topics, but the highlight for us was listening to ASKEW and the story about his life and in particular the soho hole in Ponsonby Auckland.

The soho hole was given a new life by ASKEW, see the full story at TMDcrew. We wish we went to the pool party. We hope it really does become a swimming pool.

Component Exhibition

Grab a fresh piece of art for your wall this Thursday (tomorrow) at Conch Records on Ponsonby road, Auckland (Doors open at 6pm). Componentry 3 is an exhibition of works by Component. We have one here, check it below, please excuse the hyperactive staff/component fan in the foreground.

Component is a well-known and respected self taught street artist, DJ and radio station manager (to name a few of his skills). A Grey Lynn resident since ages ago and showing you all how its done.

So now you know… go score an original.

Video that will blow your mind

MUTO a wall-painted animation by BLU from blu on Vimeo.

I have been watching this over and over. If 80,918 people watched it yesterday it must be good. You can thank John from Studio Alexander for discovering this one. Cheers mate. It made Monday awesome.
