Some refreshing good news of Kiwi’s helping those in need. It’s amazing what just a few people and supportive sponsors can do.

Capital Cause are loads of cool people, regularly getting together at fun events to do crazy things in support of their favourite causes. They are from Wellington and they have a vision of becoming the most active city in the non-profit scene.

The video below is just one of the causes – an orphan help center in Nepal.

Whats even cooler is you can win a trip to Nepal with Capital Cause thanks to Icebreaker, Bivouac and Intrepid.

So its a new business age, one about conversations according to Idealog, the only one we have ever known about. Old companies are buzzing on this change… but anyway this post is about more important stuff. Our twitter avatar is on the cover of Idealog’s latest issue. We are completely flattered, we read their mag and blog a lot, which we think says something about their content. “Its rich with ideas”.

Last night was the 4th Design Assembly event and there was a record turn out and some great speakers.

People listening intently to a presentation, well those who didn’t notice the camera.

Argentinian-born, NZ Based Raul Sarrot talks about the rapidly changing environment designers are having to adapt to in order to stay in the game.

Formway just scored this top award. Super prestigous in the commercial furniture design industry. Formway is a design company from the Hutt (Wellington), yet another kiwi company owning it offshore. In this case, showing the world how to make a legendary chair.
