We have never really understood the term “fine art” either. Who gets to say if art is “fine” or not. Maybe the price tag decides, surely not as Banksy destroyed that myth. It’s a theme that probably wont stop being debated.

In our books it’s all art. You can choose yourself if it’s “fine” or “tight as” or “off the hook” or “epic” or “mega fine as”. That should be the only rule about art, call it what you want. Just like whisky.

It’s stunning to see the hand drawn typefaces like those on the streets of India. Dig the flare and the “no rules apply” style. Not to mention the brightness, they make some of our billboards look so dull. The word “juice” makes you thirsty.

We are fans of Meena Kadri, her blog Random Specific,  her impressive photography and story telling of what typography, graphic design and signage is like in India. We were lucky enough to hear her speak at Design Assembly last year.
