Grab a fresh piece of art for your wall this Thursday (tomorrow) at Conch Records on Ponsonby road, Auckland (Doors open at 6pm). Componentry 3 is an exhibition of works by Component. We have one here, check it below, please excuse the hyperactive staff/component fan in the foreground.

Component is a well-known and respected self taught street artist, DJ and radio station manager (to name a few of his skills). A Grey Lynn resident since ages ago and showing you all how its done.

So now you know… go score an original.

Clearly lots of life left in cone pranks. This was spotted just around the corner from work this morning by our mate Ed. Maybe the person who coned the car has something against red BMW’s?

New Zealand’s street art community is growing and so is the level of art too. I found this photo of work by Peepshow on Street Arse, which is a blog archiving street art & culture in New Zealand.

Flox is a New Zealand artist, fashion designer and all round creative wizardess. We can never get enough of her detailed stencil work like this one - “Kingfisher”

This was spotted by Kate on a trip to Lyttelton, Christchurch. If this monster cardboard robot is yours….nice work and keep it up. Hopefully this inspires you all to look at and use cardboard differently.

New Zealand has a low tolerance for street art of any kind. Which is a great shame because we miss out on FREE art all around us. This was a stencil I found in Vienna. I like the detail and addition of the person on the seat. I just want to jump on and ride away.
