Walter Hansens first ever prints were ‘Chirp‘ (edition of 70) and ‘Sing‘ (edition of 75). Both of these limited edition beauties mash Joseph Churchward typefaces with English and Maori bird names. This is a heads up that there are less than 20 of each print left! So if your planning on getting one for a Christmas gift then don’t wait too long, they might be all gone soon. Art by Peepshow
Whether its graphic design, web design & build, art & creative direction or street art Peepshow from Auckland is one talented character.
Also a founder of sideroom.com, they relaunched their website today.
Neil Dawson
One of New Zealand’s most famous sculptors has an exhibition on currently at Milford Galleries in Dunedin. Looks mean.
A different kind of street art
A public bench outside the ferry building in Devonport Auckland has been hit with a cushion and sheet for extra comfort. Someone should up this until we have leather couches in every NZ city. Gold trim anyone? Apologies for the shitty image, we only had a battling old Niokia on us at the time.
Cut Collective Collab at Splore 2010
Cut Collective and architectural graduate Jasper Middleton have combined forces to create a dramatic installation built and displayed for the Splore Festival at Tapapakanga Regional Park south of Auckland. Lucky buggers who get to ‘get on down’ for the next three days. The futuristic 2050 dress up theme night sounds crazy.
Couple of lucky staff will be there. Party on people. Nice work Cut Collective and Jasper… Street Art meets architecture… mean.
Cross Street Studios
Cross Street Studios are having a closing exhibition. Cash and Carry styles, so first in first serve on what will be a manic mix of local art.
