A different kind of street art

A public bench outside the ferry building in Devonport Auckland has been hit with a cushion and sheet for extra comfort. Someone should up this until we have leather couches in every NZ city. Gold trim anyone? Apologies for the shitty image, we only had a battling old Niokia on us at the time.

Cut Collective Collab at Splore 2010

Cut Collective and architectural graduate Jasper Middleton have combined forces to create a dramatic installation built and displayed for the Splore Festival at Tapapakanga Regional Park south of Auckland. Lucky buggers who get to ‘get on down’ for the next three days. The futuristic 2050 dress up theme night sounds crazy.

Couple of lucky staff will be there. Party on people. Nice work Cut Collective and Jasper… Street Art meets architecture… mean.

Need to freshen up your workspace,  living room or kitchen?

We are just showing off how cool teatowels can make a wall look. Cheap, easy, simple art… and if you need to mop up that spill, just grab a teatowel off the wall.

Remember this post: http://blog.endemicworld.com/2009/07/cut-collective-billboards/ ; where Cut Collective were painting over blank billboards and then the billboards were being auctioned off for charity, well we convinced our landlord to pick up the first one which will soon be in our foyer. “Thats REAL choice bro”

Apes and Art

We were at the Cut Collective last week taking some photos (you’ll find out why on Friday….).

Toby was snapped pulling ape faces next to one of components works. Life size stencil on an old steel bench top.
