Mychillybin photographer of the month

This month’s mcb photographer profile is Kathleen Shepherd from Greymouth. She is a passionate photographer with a love for the unique and natural environment of the West Coast… Check out what she has to say over at the mcb community.

One of our favourite images from Kathleen is of the kiwi’s carved from tree gum. Once a vigorously traded good during NZ’s frontier days is now a treasure to have. So if you have some, don’t flick it at your next garage sale for two bucka…

Smart Light Sydney

Sydney recently hosted a lighting exhibition called Smart Light Sydney, some teasers below. Young NZ Designer Tim Hunt of Eclipse Design took part in the event and sent us these images. He wished he got to do the Opera House,  but instead was part of the stairway piece below called “Nothing Left to Guess”

The Book Seer

A Wellington anti-graffiti ad

We like to know whats going down in Welllington (We were born there and we miss its legendary bars, cafe’s and restaurants). The Wellingtonista is one place that keeps us up to date. Like this weird anti-graffiti ad.

I guess it answers the question why Resene doesn’t produce spray cans.

Friday Night… get your frsh on

Go to ‘FRSH FSH’ on Friday night… a collaborative exhibition displaying new works by Rob Tucker, Ralph Matthews, Andrew De Freitas and Cinzah Merkens

There’ll be a combination of Street inspired works, painting, drawing, film and installation works.

Opening Night : Friday the 12th of June 6pm – 9pm
Exhibition runs from the 13th of June – 17th of June (open hrs 12 – 5)
