Skateboard Auction

Check it out… long-board auction coming up at Webbs. Brought to you by Arch MacDonell from inhouse design and a bunch of fellow artists and illustrators.

Since my skater is growing cobwebs, this has inspired me to get back on four wheels again. Think I might sand her down and stencil it up. It might/will look real bad. Now there’s a skate art event name… “Sand her down stencil it up” brought to you by boom, cheapskates, resene etc etc…. I can hear the radio ad now.

Sorry, coffee overload… see you at the auction.

New Organic Cotton Bags

Ooid (sounds like “fluid”) from Dunedin has just released a new range of organic cotton bags. There’s 5 new bags from various designers around the world. And like always they are made from 100% unbleached organic cotton.

Use them for whatever you like… things for the beach, grocery shopping, books for uni or as a fashion accessory.

madefromnewzealand.com re-launch

Last night Made From New Zealand re-launched with a new site and a cool shin-dig at the 42 Below space in Britomart, Auckland. A good time had by all, pretty hard not too when 42 below is flowing freely in every possible cocktail imaginable (I actually had beer all night).

To cut to the chase, check out the site and start networking with other cool nz businesses like endemicworld.com. List your own and get some international attention.

Big ups for trailblazing communications company.

Paradigm, the designers behind the Salvage Billboard Bags (currently sold out) have been recognised for their commitment to sustainable practise. They won the Northern Region Trailblazer Award (Small and Medium Business) at the 2008 Sustainable Business Awards and a commendation at the National Awards.

The judges commented that ‘they operate in a pioneering nature and have a long standing commitment to public interest and more recently to the adoption of sustainable design’. Lucky for us all there’s more Salvage Billboard Bags coming soon. If you want one, email us, and we’ll let you know as soon as they arrive.

Ataahua in Good Magazine

When Good Magazine launched we got pretty excited. For sure everyone had their doubts but this magazine and website has proven to be top quality. If you haven’t got the latest issue grab one because they feature some very cool green fashion including the Ataahua Trilby Hats made in New Zealand from used hessian coffee sacks.
